IP Addresses:
- Purpose: Strictly for security measures to prevent fraudulent or malicious activity.

E-Mail-Addresses:
- Purpose: To send notifications related to our encryption and decryption services.
- Method of Collection: Through form submissions when using our services.

Use of Collected Information
IP Addresses:
- For Users: Stored only for the duration of your active session to continue identifying potentially suspicious activity.
- For Blocked Users [eg. due to suspicious activity]: Stored for an extended period for security reasons, in compliance with our internal blocklist procedures.
E-Mail addresses:
- For File Encryptors: Stored temporarily and deleted after either file decryption or expiration [90 days].
- For File Decryptors: Stored only for the time it takes to process and send the file and then promptly deleted.
Security Measures
- Connection Security: Only secure, encrypted connections are permitted.
- File Processing: All files are processed programmatically and are deleted from our servers immediately upon use.
- Server Security: Our servers are located in Switzerland and are equipped with multiple security layers.
Data Retention
- IP Addresses: Retained based on behavior. Detailed retention times vary and are specified in our internal security policies.
- E-Mail addresses: Automatically deleted under conditions specified under “Use of Collected Information.”
Access to and Deletion of Personal Data
- Submitting a Request: To access or delete your personal data, please send a written request to contact@dylanwettstein.com.
- Verification: Upon receiving your request, we will send you a verification E-Mail containing a confirmation link. Click on this link to proceed.
- Processing Time: Once your identity has been verified, processing your request may take several days. You will be notified via E-Mail regarding the status of your request.
- Data Export: If you request a data export, the template may in many cases be empty as we store minimal personal data. If any data is available, it will be appended to the export which will be sent to you in a commonly used format.
- Data Deletion: In the case of a deletion request, all data associated with you will be removed, except for any data that we are required to keep for legal or security reasons.
- Deletion Confirmation: Once the deletion is complete, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Expiration of Files: If you are the owner of encrypted files and request data deletion, those files and your data will be excluded from deletion unless you specifically ask to include them. In that case, every file you’ve encrypted will immediately expire and can no longer be decrypted.
Children’s Privacy
No specific policies related to children’s privacy. We uphold the same high standards of data protection for users of all ages.
Data Controller
We act as the data controller for all data we collect, except in special cases involving fraud prevention.
Use of Cookies
We do not use cookies on our website for tracking or any other purposes.
